More than 100 students to earn KSU certificates June 20
KENNESAW, Ga. (June 10, 2013) – The College of Continuing and Professional Education at Kennesaw State University will hold its summer graduation ceremony June 20 at 7 p.m. at KSU Center, 3333 Busbee Drive, in Room 400. More than 100 students will earn certificates.
Class offerings represent a variety of industries, including culinary, web design, paralegal, human resources, healthcare, languages, computers and technology, administrative professional, gerontology and project management. The college’s specialty is preparing students to enter high-demand career fields, advance in their current profession, and/or add to their portfolio of skills.
A college degree is not required for enrollment, providing a second chance for many of the students to pursue higher education. Many of the classes offer Continuing Education Units upon successful completion. CEUs are educational credits recognized by employers and professional organizations. Upon completion of many of the programs, students will be prepared to take national certification exams where they consistently score higher than national averages.
Barbara S. Calhoun, dean, said, “We focus on the priceless aspect of lifelong learning because of the many benefits it provides our students. As our students cross the stage on graduation night, we are more than confident in their ability to turn their career goals and dreams into a reality.”
Program managers, directors and instructors will all be present at the graduation ceremony to greet and congratulate the students.
