Acworth resident wins iPad mini

KENNESAW, Ga. (Aug. 2, 2013) – Acworth resident Sandy Baker won an iPad mini from KSU’s College of Continuing and Professional Education on Aug. 1. Baker was one of more than 500 people who attended the Career Training Expo on July 25.

Healthcare, Culinary, Technology and Paralegal are among more than 50 areas where students can earn professional certificates. Baker wanted to learn more about the Meeting and Event Management program. She plans to register for the next course which begins Sept. 26.

The Career Training Expos, held twice annually, are free and open to the public. Sessions are held throughout the night at KSU Center, 3333 Busbee Drive. Program directors and managers, instructors and graduates are all available that night. They discuss the structure, requirements and expectations of the program and answer questions from prospective students.

Seven new programs will begin this fall. The title and start dates are as follows:
 
Many of the professional certificate programs are eligible for Military Education Benefits for post-9/11 veterans and/or Workforce Investment Act. Additional financial aid options are also available.
