Get connected with OLLI’s Facebook Basics course
Have you heard the phrases “Facebooking,” “posting on someone’s wall,” or “being tagged in a photo?” Are you searching for a more efficient way to become connected with your friends and family or reconnect with past acquaintances? Are your children and grandchildren communicating solely through their computer and phone?If so, then Facebook is for you!
As the world’s predominant social media website, Facebook now has more than one billion users. The free service has also seen a 46% increase of members in the 50+ age group since 2012.
“Regardless of what may be the hot social media portal of any given year, social networking has become a core part of our daily lives – and Facebook is currently leading the pack,” stated Michelle Girage, program director.
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) would like to invite you to join us for a course to learn the proper way to Facebook. If you’re apprehensive about the social media world, fear not, as our Facebook Basics class is sure to help you successfully navigate the site.
Lynne Mock, OLLI instructor, will share her expertise by teaching you how to set up an account, accept friends, block intruders, add photos and stay current by messaging friends and family.
